Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Console Specialist who will focus on the testing needs of iRacing across its console game titles. This is a specialized position for an expert in PlayStation development policies and procedures. This person is to author test-plans and organize testing for a variety of projects, and to meet the goals and needs of several development teams at once. The Quality Assurance Console Specialist must excel at consolidating a larger picture into smaller actionable tasks and be able to manage priority needs in a constantly evolving environment. Previous experience with console compliance testing and procedures is a must-have skill. This position works between both Senior and Junior QA staff, and a variety of developers across multiple projects to ensure testing is executed properly in order to create the world’s best racing experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Directly support the development process of the iRacing partner studios by following development and perform target testing.
- Advise team development focused on console compliance procedures and testing.
- Perform bug entry and management for iRacing’s console game titles.
- Create and lead the execution of detailed test-plans to ensure the quality of new and existing features, systems, and content.
- Generate reports for both qualitative and quantitative feedback to communicate information to varying audiences including management, developers, and customers.
- Organize specialized testing on unique projects or features as needed in order to provide targeted feedback to a variety of development teams.
- Become a subject matter expert and an internal resource for the QA team on new features and products as they are developed.
- Facilitate bug fixes by creating detailed bug reports, communicating with developers, and performing verification testing.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years of game development and/or quality assurance experience, including shipped titles for PlayStation consoles.
- Professional experience with console compliance testing and procedures.
- A proficient and practiced understanding of test methodologies and testing processes.
- Expert skill with spreadsheets, datasets, and organizing and displaying data.
- A passion for problem solving and documentation.
- Exceptional eye for detail, an analytical mind, and the ability to perceive an experience from multiple usability lenses.
- Self-driven, strong work ethic, patient, and superb organizational skills.
- Ability to shoulder key responsibilities across multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills conducive to working in a small teams environment, including with multiple teams across the globe.
Desired Qualifications
- A self-described gamer with a passion for racing and racing games.
- Three or more years of experience with software development or software testing.
- Practiced knowledge of Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox certification processes and procedures.
- Professional knowledge of Jira, Perforce, and Git strongly preferred.
- Programming/Scripting expertise, 3D art skills, and web development knowledge are each highly advantageous.
- Experienced user with all video game console platforms and working with PC hardware components.
- Fundamental knowledge of motorsports, racecraft, and vehicle dynamics preferred.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester who will work alongside developers, customer support, and our private test community to perform testing across all of iRacing’s products. This person must have an eye for detail, be confident in both creating and following documentation, and have excellent communication skills. The Quality Assurance Tester will regularly execute complex test procedures and communicate results and status between developers, management, and other testers. This person will be able to adapt to evolving priority needs on a daily basis and work closely with different groups of people often.

- Communicate with customers both directly and through customer support to identify issues and possible temporary workarounds.
- Complete testing using a variety of hardware and peripherals.
- Assist with special projects as a trusted internal source of feedback.
- Support the development processes for all of iRacing’s products through testing.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for US Employment.
- Strong computer and technical skills.
- Quality assurance application testing and/or equivalent application knowledge.
- Basic understanding of test methodologies and testing processes.
- Proficiency working with spreadsheets, datasets, and organizing and displaying data.
- A passion for problem solving and documentation.
- Exceptional eye for detail, an analytical mind, and the ability to perceive an experience from multiple usability lenses.
- Self-driven, a strong work ethic, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills conducive to working in a team environment, including with other individuals across the world.
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years with an active iRacing membership, and experience with all license classes.
- Work or undergraduate experience related to software development, testing, computer science, engineering, design, writing, or web development strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of software development, web technologies, and JIRA or other bug tracking software strongly preferred.
- Programming expertise, 3D art skills, and web development knowledge are each highly advantageous.
- Previous experience with video game console development, testing, and/or console compliance testing and procedures.
- Experience building PCs or working with electronic hardware components.
- Well acquainted with PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox consoles.
- Fundamental knowledge of motorsports, racecraft, and vehicle dynamics preferred.
- Passionate fans of Oval and/or Dirt Racing are highly encouraged!
- Availability for work in the office in Chelmsford, MA.
